Description
Decorative Arched Insert Fireplace
The Stovax Decorative Arched Insert pre-dates the Classical model by some 30 years, having been designed around the time of the Great Exhibition in 1851. Accordingly, it incorporates elements of Greek and Roman detailing which were frequently adopted as ornamentation, itself a reflection of Britain’s growing sense of grandeur and Empire. The baffle plate to the rear of the fire features an attractive coat of arms motif. When burning solid fuels, this baffle can be closed when the fire is not in use.
